jenny duck architect

Jenny Duck is a Registered Architect with over 25 years of industry experience.  Initially balancing sport (hockey), architecture studies and work Jenny was employed by Christchurch based firm John Chaplin Architects.  With their support Jenny competed at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and obtained her NZCAD qualification.

After retiring from hockey Jenny returned to Victoria University in Wellington to complete a Bachelor of Architecture.  She then joined the Christchurch office of Herriot Melhuish O'Neill Architects to continue to develop her skillset and work toward sitting registration.

​

2016 Jenny moved north to Tauranga where she now resides and started her solo practice.   Predominately involved in the residential sector,  jenny duck architect's philosophy is to combine innovative thinking with an open collaborative process to create a stimulating and refreshing outcome.  Using inspiration from the landscape and respectful balance of form and materiality, the result is a uniquely crafted building form.
